I would like to thank all of you for checking out our new blog.  For anyone not particularly familiar with blogs consider this my online journal.  This is where you can come to check out my professional work, personal projects, industry news and photo tips.  We love comments so dont be shy we'd love to hear what you think!

How is this blog different from our old one?  First thing you'll see are BIG PHOTOS!!!  The second main feature will be our interaction with you!  Feel free to ask us anything regarding our posts and we'll try to answer all your questions.

Hey Gang,

I have some very BIG and exciting news today. I would like to officially welcome you to the launch of our new company Bassem! Yes it’s all about me and anyone who knows me realizes that’s just not me! Some of you may be asking “Where’s GK Photography?” It’s still here with the same guy behind the camera but under a new name…a face-lift if you may! “Why you ask?” In Phoenix I met an amazing couple, Richard and Amy of Red Leaf Studios who I guess were impressed with my enthusiasm and passion for weddings but more importantly my couples. I guess they saw something special in me and I’m truly humbled and honored by that. Come on were talking about Red Leaf Studios rated one of the top studios in Canada and they saw potential in me, Bassem from little old Cambridge, ON! They helped me realize that the company should be a representation of its soul, love, passion and driving force and I’d say I’m all that and more. I found my calling in wedding photography and I never forget how fortunate I am to be doing what I truly love.

I want to especially thank Richard and Amy of Red Leaf Studios who were behind the whole branding of Bassem (sounds weird talking about yourself in the 3rd person *LOL*) They designed everything from my website to logo to all my marketing material. Thank you guys so much; you know how much I love you…. Did I say thank you yet? (inside joke)

I would also like to thank my close friend Mandy Richardson, writer/author extraordinaire! Thank you so much sweetie for putting into words what was in my heart. You have such a gift and you know how much I love how your helping people through your Diva classes.

Finally I want to thank Lez…..Baby we did it! All my big moments in my life worth remembering have been influenced or shared with you and words can’t describe how truly blessed I am to have an amazing woman like you in my life. Thank you for your patience and your unconditional support.

Alisha + Wesley’s :: Wedding Day

Hey Gang,
I’m so glad that you made it back!! This past weekend was a back-to-back starting with Katie and Dan and on Saturday I had the pleasure of documenting Alisha & Wes’s remarkable day! It was super fun because I got to party with this cool couple but I also got to see some old friends a.k.a. past “GK Couples” When I saw who was their I new it would be a great day/night! To my wonderful couple you guys looked amazing and I hope your enjoying the hot weather down south. To my ultra cool wedding party, thanks so much guys! You were all a blast…from pole dance to wet chests and all! *wink*. To see some more of Alisha and Wes’s photos log onto to Facebook and add me as a friend.

I’m glad you came back! Here’s a little teaser from this past Friday’s wedding with Katie and Dan. What a great day, great weather, great wedding party and fantastic couple!! Katie I just want to let you know sweetie you look magnificent and Dan my man, bro you were rocking the white tie. Very nice touch!
