Hey Everyone,
Its been a couple of weeks since Phoenix and I’ve done a lot of thinking. I always believed that as photographers we have a gift of telling a story, maybe something as simple as a sibling’s comforting words or tears from a proud parent. We offer this to our couples in hopes that it’s these unique moments that will become cherished memories for generations to come. But beyond that I feel we also have a responsibility to document the joy in the celebration of the day, to promote it and maybe even inspire it in others.
I get asked all the time by my couples “what is your style?” but I never knew how to answer that. I think the turning point was In Phoenix when a mentor told me he could tell my images were shot from the heart. That he could see my passion for my work but more importantly my couples in each image.
The following video was sent to my from a close friend and I think it’s a beautiful reminder of the impact we can have on one another not just as photographers but as people.
